Ideal Manufacturing's History And Future
Ideal Machine started in 2013 with a vision to help manufacturing businesses improve their parts production and efficiency - and therefore increase profitability.
President and Founder Eli Ebersol noticed that many woodworking shops, lawn furniture companies, and other manufacturing companies struggled with efficient manufacturing.
Common problems he noticed were equipment not functioning as designed, machines not being customizable to a shop’s specific needs, or assembly lines requiring manual labor where custom machinery could do the work.
These kinds of problems slow down assembly lines, decrease productivity, create production quality issues, and end up decreasing profitability.
In response to this, Eli started Ideal Machine with a focus on designing and building high-quality production machinery for these businesses.
The company now offers multiple lines of woodworking machinery, including a high-efficiency stile & rail shaping system, a brand new cope machine debuting at IWF Atlanta, collaborative robot integrations, three half-lap machine variations, and the capability of producing fully customized machinery and fabrication equipment.
Ideal Machine Acquires Newport Machine
In 2022 Ideal Machine acquired the entire lineup of Newport Machinery from the Hermance Machine Company. Because of this key strategic acquisition, Ideal Machine is reintroducing lost machinery to the woodworking industry. This includes the MH4 lineup of half-lap machines that are now back on the market.
Collaborative Robot Automation For Manufacturing
In 2023 Ideal Machine partnered with Universal Robots to become a Certified Integrator. This means Ideal Machine now offers cobot automation for manufacturing. Ideal Machine designs cobot cells, programs, installs, and trains operators for our customers.

Our half-lap machines are the only American-made automatic half-lap cutting machines. They’re available in three different variations.
The CM-900 Cope Machine is our latest woodworking machine to join our lineup. The CM-900 pairs perfectly with our RM-100 Stile & Rail Machine. Now, you can cut profiles on all your stiles and rails and then cope your material with a machine that offers the same reliability and quality Ideal Machine is known for.
